I have several pictures of parts of the building(s) and would like to send you them to see if you may recognise what and where it is exactly. Do you have a website that I can contact you on?

I’m pinning it for later. My husband and I love Rhone wines and a wine trip that incorporates some of these cute towns would be amazing!

Hi, sorry for the late reply (I’m less likely to miss these questions in my FB group: https://www.facebook.com/groups/ProvenceTravelPlanning/). Both locations are very small villages. Out of the two, Lourmarin has more places to eat & shops etc. It’s also better located for exploring the Luberon/Aix/etc. However, Eygalières is very charming and well located for visiting St Remy/Avignon etc, so it depends what interests you more. Of course, you can visit all locations from either spot, but will spend a little more time in the car.

Really too hard to say at this point sorry. If you’re lucky, you may find a field or two around Sault. Their lavender festival isn’t until the middle of the month as they typically harvest later.

Thanks for the kind comments! There’s still a lot to do and see in the Luberon even with things closed, but that said, I’ll think you’ll find many things open still. Alternatively, you could spend one day touring the Luberon and the other driving out to Pont du Gard & Uzes, or the Alpilles (St Remy, Les Baux-de-Provence, Carrieres de Lumieres, Glanum, etc) on the other day. If you’re at all into antiques (or just love a good market) L’isle-sur-la-Sorgue is hosting the International Antiques Fair that weekend – it only happens twice a year (bigger than the usual Sunday market).

Thank you so much! So at the time these were taken, I was using both a Sony A6000 with a Sony 70-200 f4 lens and a Nikon D750 with a 24-70 f2.8 lens 🙂 I think at the time I was also playing around with some presets from Carmen Huter – used in lightroom. Hope that helps!

I’m in love with your beautiful photos and was wondering what camera you used to take them and if you used any presents. Thank you!

Je viens de Nouvelle Zélande, et mon français n’est pas tres bien malheureusement, donc j’écrirai en Anglais.
Your site is absolutely incredible and a massive help for planning my upcoming trip. I will be staying in Avignon over Easter Weekend and will hire a car for one or two days to visit some of the Luberon villages. If a lot of shops/cafes are closed on Sunday, do you think it is worth hiring a car for Saturday AND Sunday, or is it not really worth the extra Sunday?

Merci beaucoup!!

I am planning to spend a week in Provence this June and trying to decide between a villa in Lourmarin and one in Eygalières. We are 3 couples and would like to be able to walk/bike to town. We also plan on renting a car to tour all around Provence. Which location would you prefer?
